Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my package weight as serving size?

Only if it matches RACC rules for your category. A 400 g family bag of chips is usually multiple servings, not one.

What if my product has no exact RACC match?

Use the most similar category in Appendix B and document your rationale. FDA expects a reasonable category fit.

Does RACC differ for Canada (CFIA)?

Yes ?CFIA has its own reference amounts. US RACC does not transfer directly to bilingual Canadian labels.
